It's incredible that just when the Libs were probably in a position to at least make the next election contestable they shoot themselves in the foot. I may have been out of the country for a month, but unless something drastic has happened, there's no real alternative as a leader. Not that that makes me sad, mind you.
From my contact with him John Brogden isn't a bad person, but I think this comment says a lot about him, and perhaps what image he was trying to portray at this function.
